Now that it’s Thanksgiving… Hmmm….i have no idea what im gonna talk about…., but here goes (no particular order): 1. PARENTS! 両親 Yep. totally thankful they tried hard when they were young, and that I didn’t have to be born in the rural china like half of my family. through their effort, they were teh first ones to leave their villages, go to unviersity, and then go to america! theyve provided me with so many opportunities that even my cousins dont have, so im rly thankful for that. also i can be pretty rude to them at times, but they still love me and pay for college! 2. FRIENDS! 友達 im a pretty bad friend at times… but im thankful i have friends who still stick by me =) can always turn to them/find someone to talk with when im feeling emo cuz i failed a test or when im uber bored story of my life but yeah, not gonna list out you guys, words cant express how i feel!…plus the fact there are 535 of you. jkjkxd. 3. GOD! 神様 for making the world and putting all of us on it! and for saving us and loving each and every one of us! 4. CHINA 2008! 中国2008 not the olympics, but my summer trip there. those 1.5 months mustve been some of my best memories ever. for those of you that dont know, i went alone to china, where i met up with my friends robin and jenny, and we had a crazy amt of fun going around everywhere. shopping, bargaining, karaoke-ing, being treated to expensive meals at 5-star hotels, riding on trains, trying out GREATsometimes scary food, etc etc etc. i had so much fun and really wanna repeat the experience!! 5. DUKE! デューク duke has been amazing so far, and im glad i chose here…altho who knows how jhu wouldve turned out wiht me and stephen? xD 6. INTERVARSITY! インターバーシティー wow. iv has prolly been one of my best experiences at duke and a real eye-opener for me community-wise. great ppl (everyone in iv is srsly so awesome. jack + erica!) and great times! thx to greg hsu our amazing worship leader who friended me over the summer (wtheck random creeper guy?) and introduced me to IV! and if greg’s reading this..sry i never replied to your wall post i thought you were creepy! but yeah, thx!!! 7. LIVING IN THE USA! アメリカの生活 no matter how much i love china, id still rather live in the us. you can get everything here! and everything’s so convenient, so many foods, consumer goods, places to go, ppl to meet, etcetc! my mom’s friend said today “you can get anythign in china now!” but i still dont think tahts true. like, i would prolly have to look really hard to find some frozen yogurt. or cheesecake. idk. stuff chinese ppl might not like. (then again i cant get all those azn yummies here either =/). 8. GROWING UP IN THE 90S! 90年代に育った yeah. best decade ever. beast wars, pokemon, digimon, yugioh, ARTHUR, bill clinton, internet, real animated disney movies EVERYTHING! \ I can’t really think of anything else…altho i know there are more. anyways, happy thxgiving!!
